The congregation is made up of all sorts of people from the local community. We meet to worship God, to share fellowship, and to try to live out God’s mission in the world. We try to get involved in what’s happening in our own area, and we also support international charities such as Christian Aid.
We’re currently committed to focusing on ensuring we do what we can to take care of the environment, and on trying to develop partnerships within our local community (see The United Reformed Church’s Vision2020 to find out more). This means that we work hard to make our church more eco-friendly, and we’ve begun to hold monthly outreach afternoons, where we provide free lunches, a Debt Centre, and opportunity to speak with local politicians about the issues that matter to you.
We have a team of elected Elders, who serve the church through decision-making, planning, organising, serving Communion, and in lots of other ways.
